HV and Film Independent are excited to announce the winners of the 10×10 contest. In this year’s contest, we awarded one year of Artist Memberships to 8 emerging filmmakers from CalArts, Columbia, Wesleyan, and Yale. We also selected 2 non-film school winners ages 18-25 from an open application. The winners also received a full year of Filmmaker Pro memberships from Film Independent. As HV Artist Members, each of the winners receives a dedicated Artist Member page, individualized mentorship, access to all HV events, and work opportunities.

As an added bonus to this year’s contest, we have invited all the winners and finalists to participate in the HV Film Incubator. Last year, we launched this program to help filmmakers independently develop, produce, market, and distribute their first microbudget feature. For this year’s group from the 10×10 contest, we are hosting weekly seminars designed to help these young filmmakers gain the knowledge, confidence, and experience to make a microbudget feature. We are really excited to see where these young filmmakers go with their projects!

We are grateful to continue our partnership with Film Independent on this contest for another year. As part of our shared commitment to microbudget and independent cinema we are happy to support the next generation of rising directors, screenwriters, actors, artists and more in this group.
