Ellie Atlee is a writer-director originally from Los Angeles currently finishing her double major in History and Film and Media Studies at Yale University. Ellie got into filmmaking at age 17 with an unauthorized feature length adaptation of Donna Tartt’s The Secret History. Unfortunately, she’s unable to share that work, as Tartt’s assistant responded with a stern warning that Ellie risked legal consequences should it see the light of day.
Despite this setback, Ellie was hooked on filmmaking.
To date, she has written four feature-length films, with more currently in the works, and directed her shorter films. This year she will be writing and directing her thesis film, Promised, as well as a micro-budget feature film, Go Greek.
